Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Morris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Mayes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mayes has chosen Rock the Party-POD as his entrance music. Bob Mayes has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morris tries to clinch up but Mayes circles away and keeps his distance.
Mayes shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Morris but Morris pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Mayes moves into the clinch.
Morris tries to land a knee to the head but Mayes blocks with his arms.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Mayes lands a nice short elbow.
Mayes is pressing down on Morris's thigh, looking to free his foot. Morris is holding on for now.
Mayes missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Morris is trying to control but can't.
Morris might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Morris is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Mayes tries to pass the half guard into mount. Morris knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Mayes is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Morris wants to improve his position but Mayes is controlling well.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Mayes looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Morris had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Mayes is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Morris Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Mayes's back instead.

Morris is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Mayes has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Morris has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Mayes taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Morris doesn't care though - he's delighted!
