Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 28 - 0, fighting out of London, Hans Gruber!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Donald Grub and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Gruber misses its intended target.
Polden fails with an attempt to clinch.
Gruber goes for a double leg but Polden avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Polden continues to drive forward.
Gruber is looking to control Polden's arms but Polden gets an underhook and turns him. Now Gruber has his back to the cage.
Polden lands a damaging elbow.
Polden wants to get back to striking at distance but Gruber won't allow it.
Polden dodges an elbow strike from Gruber.

Polden pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Polden darts in and clinches Gruber up against the cage.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Gruber.

Gruber is trying to break the clinch but Polden is controlling him.

Polden stalks Gruber and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Gruber's face. Gruber staggers backwards, shaken.

Polden lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gruber circles away quickly and effectively.

Kris Polden has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hans Gruber.

Gruber tries to circle away but Polden has him pinned against the cage.
Gruber misses with a punch to the body.
Gruber is trying to force a seperation but Polden has the dominant position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Polden lands an elbow just above Gruber 's eye.
Polden tries to work over Gruber's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Gruber breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The fighters circle momentarily. Polden darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Polden tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gruber swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Polden checks the leg kick.
Polden tries to clinch up but Gruber circles away and keeps his distance.
Polden will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Gruber takes a swing at Polden's ribcage but misses.
Gruber throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Gruber jabbing away but nothing is landing.
A looping hook to the body misses from Polden. Gruber does a little dance to reset his feet.
Polden swings for the body but Gruber moves out of range.
Polden throws a right and a left that both miss.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
