The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hanneman scores with a takedown into Juoni's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Hanneman tries to stand but Juoni is controlling from the bottom.
Juoni utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Juoni seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Juoni keeping moving, preventing Hanneman from controlling successfully.
Juoni bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hanneman's guard.
Hanneman wants to sweep here but Juoni controlling him for the moment.
Juoni's corner is telling him to maintain position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Hanneman shoots and misses
and Juoni counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Juoni moves in looking to clinch but Hanneman pushes him off.
Hanneman blocks a head kick by Juoni.
Hanneman fails with the takedown
and Juoni counters with an inside leg kick.
Hanneman shoots in for a takedown but Juoni shows good takedown defense.

Crunch! Juoni slams his shin into Hanneman's torso.

Juoni fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Hanneman has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
A head kick misses from Juoni.
Juoni attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Juoni lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Jeff Hanneman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Juoni stuffs the takedown attempt from Hanneman. Hanneman gets slowly back to his feet.

Juoni ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
A nice inside leg kick there by Juoni. That's going to slow Hanneman down.
Juoni stuffs the takedown.
Juoni lands with a slapping head kick.
Juoni looks for the body kick but Hanneman saw that one coming.
Hanneman fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Juoni avoids it really well and circles away.

and Juoni counters with a nice low kick that buckles Hanneman's knee momentarily.

Hanneman tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Hanneman misses with a takedown attempt - Juoni sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Hanneman shoots in for a takedown but Juoni shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Juoni really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill...
No luck with that takedown attempt from Hanneman.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Juoni, as that shot connected.

Juoni lands a big head kick that sends Hanneman tumbling to the mat! Juoni takes a step backwards and waves Hanneman back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Jouni Juoni has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeff Hanneman.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Juoni! Hanneman is out on his feet! Juoni rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Hanneman is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Hanneman is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
