Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Page (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Benedict (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Page kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Hand That Feeds. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joe Benedict!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Colin Fray and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Page avoids a punch combination nicely.
Joe Benedict seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Benedict lands a right hook to the body.
Page fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Page wants to clinch.
Benedict looking to land some kicks to the body here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Page dives in for a single leg takedown but Benedict sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Benedict cracks Page with a nice body shot.
Benedict escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Page with a lazy takedown attempt
and Benedict counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kyle Page. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Benedict throws a combination that misses
and Page decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Benedict's guard.
Page's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Benedict pulls Page in close to his closed guard and prevents Page from doing any damage or advancing position.
Page is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Benedict is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Benedict has escaped and now he's on top!
Page looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Page is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Benedict not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Page is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Benedict defends well.
Page working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Benedict doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Benedict manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Page is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Benedict has his hands clasped together but Page extends and breaks Benedict's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Page.
