Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gideon Frost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frost comes to the cage accompanied by Kung Fu Fighting. Gideon Frost has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gideon Frost!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, William Wallace!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Frost clinches with his opponent.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Wallace.
Wallace using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Frost has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Frost managing to block the knees to the body from Wallace.
Wallace with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Frost blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Wallace pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Frost uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Wallace.

Frost shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Frost looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

Wallace defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Frost.

Frost moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Wallace has worked his arm free - good work by Wallace!
Frost has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Wallace manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Frost moves into full mount! Wallace won't be happy about that!
Frost throws some wild stikes that Wallace manages to avoid easily.

Frost moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Wallace has worked his arm free - good work by Wallace!
Wallace gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Frost throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Frost is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Wallace defends it well.

Frost missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Frost is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Wallace is just riding it out for now. Frost eventually gives up the hold.

Frost working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Wallace's thigh. Wallace counters though and makes it back to full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
The fight stays on the outside here - Frost looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
No luck for Frost with that takedown attempt.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Frost shoots in for a double leg but Wallace sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Wallace cracks the inside of Frost's front leg.
Frost is breathing heavily.
Wallace misses with a hook.
Wallace shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Wallace fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Wallace closes the distance looking to clinch

so Frost counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Frost throws and elbow that misses. Wallace uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Frost's guard. Nice move by Wallace!

Frost looking for a guillotine here but Wallace defends easily.

Frost working for a triangle but Wallace defends it easily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Frost looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Wallace passes into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Gideon Frost will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Wallace moves into range and clinches up with Frost.

Wallace pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Wallace throws an overhand right that lands on Frost's shoulder, as Frost tries to avoid the shot.
Frost avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Wallace lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Frost wants to break free but Wallace has control.
Wallace crunches a lovely knee into Frost's ribcage.

Wallace breaks the clinch.
Frost looks for a takedown but Wallace sprawls well.

Frost shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Frost was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Frost stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Wallace misses with a two punch combination.

Frost scores with a takedown into Wallace's guard.
Wallace keeping moving, preventing Frost from controlling successfully.

Frost thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Wallace is trying to control the position but Frost postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Frost stands and throws Wallace's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Frost goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Wallace rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Frost's guard! Nice work there by Wallace!

Frost is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Frost keeping full guard, as Wallace tries to pass.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Frost has his foot on Wallace's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wallace works his way back into a safe position though.
Frost is trying to keep Wallace in close.
Frost is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Frost seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Wallace is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Gideon Frost!
