And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 42 - 24 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Heimo Hulahula!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hulahula throws a push kick but Doe slaps the foot to one side.
Doe throws a hook but Hulahula avoids it easily.
Doe uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hulahula.
Hulahula misses the shot to the body.
Doe throws an overhand right that lands on Hulahula's shoulder, as Hulahula tries to avoid the shot.
Hulahula throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Hulahula is looking to land body kicks.
Hulahula has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Doe is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Doe avoids a kick to the body.
Hulahula stuns Doe with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Hulahula moves away from the strike by Doe.
Hulahula throws the kick towards the body but Doe avoids it.
Hulahula throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
A chopping leg kick lands by Hulahula.
Doe tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hulahula swivels and escapes.
Hulahula lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Doe takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Hulahula throws a chopping leg kick but Doe manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Doe lands with a thumping leg kick.

Hulahula looks for the body kick but Doe saw that one coming.

Doe dives in and scores a takedown into Hulahula's guard.

Doe will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Doe definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Doe looking to sit in guard and control but Hulahula gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Hulahula slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Doe looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Hulahula passes into side control.

Doe tries to bench press Hulahula off him but Hulahula keeps the position.
Hulahula is looking to take a break and control but Doe is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Hulahula is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Doe tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hulahula wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

A close round but Heimo Hulahula will probably get the nod.

Doe moves out of range as Hulahula throws a body kick.
Doe uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hulahula.
Hulahula looks for the body kick but Doe saw that one coming.
Doe shoots in looking for a takedown. Hulahula tries to sprawl out of it but Doe keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hulahula manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Heimo Hulahula seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hulahula misses with a kick to the body.
Hulahula throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Hulahula wants to land a leg kick but Doe is out of range.
Hulahula scores with a jab to the body.
Doe throws out a leg kick but Hulahula moves out of range and Doe only half commits.

and Doe takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Hulahula gets caught flat footed, as Doe shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Doe throws a strike but Hulahula rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Doe manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hulahula manages to get himself to full guard.
Doe tries to free his leg and advance position but Hulahula is retaining full guard.
Doe postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Doe wants to pass the guard but Hulahula is keeping the position.
Doe works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Hulahula avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Doe.
Hulahula has a hand on Doe's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Doe takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Hulahula is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Doe thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Hulahula suckers Doe into throwing a sloppy strike and uses the momentum to reverse the position beautifully! Hulahula is now in Doe's guard!

Doe is looking for a triangle here but Hulahula uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Hulahula gets to mount! Doe was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

John Doe overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hulahula is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Doe rather than just go for the knockout.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Hulahula.

Doe feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
