Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Billy Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Spat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bob comes to the cage accompanied by Notkea rotta - Itä meidän. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 24 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Billy Bob!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 33 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Spat!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Spat has Bob up against the cage in a clinch.
Spat controlling the action here for a moment.
Bob blocks an uppercut.
Bob is looking to take this one to the mat.

Spat breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bob jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Spat shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Spat showed some decent athleticism there.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Spat stops Bob from getting back to his feet.
Bob wants to improve his position but Spat is controlling well.

Spat decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The fight stays on the outside here - Spat looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Spat throws a nice looking combination but Bob bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Spat closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bob circles away.

Spat closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
A shot in the inside from Spat.
Spat digs a right hand into Bob's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Bob's gas tank.
Spat doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Bob can't get the takedown.

Spat scores with a nice hook to the head.

Bob misses with a hook from the clinch.
Spat softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.

Spat lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Spat pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Bob shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Spat pinned against the cage. Spat gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Billy Bob. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bob shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Spat as he avoids it easily.

Spat shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Bob napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Spat wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bob keeps working.
Spat lands some shots froms side control.

Bob is looking to reverse the position.
Spat wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bob keeps working.
Spat in side control lands a decent elbow.
Spat trying to control the action but Bob is working from the bottom.

Spat looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Bob is looking to regain half guard here but Spat keeps moving and retains side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bob is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Spat is controlling him well.
Bob tries to improve position but can't.
Spat wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bob keeps working.
Spat in side control, throwing shots but Bob defends.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Spat tries to get to his feet but Bob is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Spat in his guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack Spat dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


A punch combination from Spat misses.

Spat gets caught flat footed, as Bob shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Spat trying to keep a closed guard but Bob is proving a slippery customer.
Bob is in close to Spat's body, working some short punches and elbows.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bob forces his way into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Spat is refusing to be controlled, as Bob sits in half guard.
Bob working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Spat wants to control but Bob is keeping busy.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Spat. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Bob looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Bob not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Bob trying to mount his opponent but Spat defends it.
Bob thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Ground and pound from Bob.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bob uses his free foot to push down on Spat's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Spat.

It looks like Jack Spat has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Spat is looking to get to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Spat is bucking up trying to escape but Bob cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Bob lands a big elbow - Spat is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Spat is forced to tap out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Billy Bob!
Our winner, Billy Bob, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
