The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Emerson Jorge and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rocha has managed to clinch.

Rocha escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Silva decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rocha is looking to control Silva's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Rocha avoid being mounted?
Rocha pushes Silva off looking to stand but Silva dives back in and keeps control.

Despite being in the dominant position, Xavier Rocha just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Silva feints and as Rocha raises his hands in defense, Silva changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Silva tries to roll over but Rocha keeps him under control.

Rocha tries to clinch up but Silva circles away and keeps his distance.

Rocha is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Rocha tries to land knees in the clinch but Silva avoids the damage to the body.

Rocha breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Silva drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Silva advances to half guard.
Luiz Silva overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Silva stalling.
Silva throwing shots but Rocha is blocking nicely.
Silva works his way into full mount!
Rocha holds on to Silva around his waist, trying desperately to prevent any attacks.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Luiz Silva dominated that second round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
