Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ali Powers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lando Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Lando Griffin was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Chad Campbell and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffin forces Powers back against the cage and clinches.
Griffin looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Powers tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Griffin avoids it.
Powers keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Griffin's efforts to push away.
Griffin is trying to break the clinch but Powers is controlling him.
Powers is trying to pull guard but Griffin has him pressed against the cage.
Griffin looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Powers lands a knee to the body.
Powers misses with a short punch on the inside.
Griffin blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Powers breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Powers dives in and grabs Griffin's left leg, looking for a takedown. Griffin pushes down on Powers's head and hops out.

enabling Griffin to counter with a crisp jab.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Powers is defended easily by Griffin.

Griffin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Powers knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Griffin on the ground.
Griffin wants to pass to mount but Powers is defending the position.

Powers shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Griffin as he jumps to the side.

A close second round but Lando Griffin will probably get the nod - 10:9.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Powers misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Powers is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Griffin to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Griffin shrugs it off.

Powers is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Griffin has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Griffin bucks Powers off and manages to get back to his feet!

and Powers counters by clinching up.

Griffin has had enough of the clinch but Powers keeps him there for the moment.

Powers lands with a light punch inside.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Griffin blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Powers leaning his opponent against the cage.
Griffin is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Powers is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Powers will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Griffin up against the cage.
Powers pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
And that's the end of the fight!
Ali Powers showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Powers has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
