Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Doug Durham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harry Gunderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Harry Gunderson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Doug Durham!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Harry Gunderson!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Wagner Zegers and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durham darts in looking for a takedown but Gunderson gets double underhooks and turns Durham into the cage.
Durham fails to pull guard.

Durham ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Durham no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Durham can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Gunderson controls the pace.
Gunderson is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Gunderson's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Gunderson slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Durham is not content to let Gunderson control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gunderson throws a strike aimed at the side of Durham's head but Durham avoids it well.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Gunderson stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Durham could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Gunderson has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Durham finds it's way round the side to connect with Gunderson's head.

Gunderson scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Gunderson is looking for a kimura but Durham is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Gunderson to get the leverage.
Gunderson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Gunderson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Durham is just riding it out for now. Gunderson eventually gives up the hold.

Durham keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Gunderson decides to stand and escape the position.

Gunderson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Gunderson showed some decent athleticism there.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gunderson uses his free foot to push down on Durham's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Durham.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Gunderson lands a big shot there that rocks Durham but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Gunderson controlling the pace for now.

Gunderson working for a submission but Durham is keeping him at bay.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Gunderson content just to control the position here.
Durham throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Harry Gunderson dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Durham gets caught flat footed, as Gunderson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Gunderson controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Gunderson drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Durham dives on top into guard.
Durham with a flurry of punches that miss.
Gunderson controlling the position.
Durham throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Harry Gunderson has got the better of the ground game so far.

Gunderson looking for a sweep. Not yet Gunderson, not yet.
Durham might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Gunderson striking off his back but it's not causing Durham any problems.
Durham throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Durham throws a big elbow that misses.

Gunderson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Durham doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Gunderson is tightening it up a little... Durham has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Durham reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Durham taps out! Nice BJJ there by Gunderson!
