The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Owl waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Aristides. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Aristides to the canvas! Can he finish him!?

It looks like Cacio Aristides has been cut.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Owl throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Aristides is looking to stand up but Owl isn't so interested in that idea.
Owl postures up in Aristides's guard and throws a big left but Aristides blocks it.
Owl must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Owl won't allow Aristides to get back to his feet.
Aristides might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Owl missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Owl throws a strike but Aristides rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Aristides won't allow Owl to get back to his feet.

Aristides stands up from Owl's guard - Aristides perhaps looking for a knockout.
Aristides glances at the clock... BAM! Owl nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Aristides crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Aristides is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
