Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Lennon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nawty Bull (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bull has chosen Whats that coming over the hill as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. John Lennon has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 1, fighting out of London, John Lennon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Nawty Bull!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Andrew Berry and Donald Grub.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lennon keeps the fight on the outside.
A clash of legs there as Lennon blocks the low kick.
Bull fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Lennon clinches with his opponent.
Lennon landing knees to the head.

It looks like Nawty Bull has been cut.
Bull dodges an elbow strike from Lennon.

Lennon has hold of one of Bull's legs. Bull is fighting the takedown attempt but Lennon gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Lennon gets to his feet - Bull follows without any prompting.
Lennon looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bull is fending him off so far but Lennon persists. Nope, Bull circles away and we're back to standing.
The fight stays on the outside here - Lennon looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Bull changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lennon looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Lennon is trying to improve his position.
An elbow from Bull crashes against the mat.
Lennon prevents Bull from moving into mount.
Bull passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Lennon!

Bull goes for an armbar but Lennon turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Lennon.

Lennon is pushing down on Bull's leg trying to pass to half guard. Bull is fighting to maintain full guard but Lennon has managed to sneak the leg through.
Lennon is looking to advance position but Bull won't allow it.

Lennon is looking for a kimura here.
Lennon is breathing heavily.
Bull makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Bull.
Lennon won't allow Bull to sweep him here.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Bull throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Bull is striking from the bottom but Lennon uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.

Lennon decides to stand up.

Bull closes the distance and clinches.

Lennon pulls guard effortlessly.
Bull loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Lennon wants to sweep but no luck.
Bull keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Lennon's head.
Bull looking to sit in guard and control but Lennon gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Lennon advances position into side control!

Bull is trying to improve his position.

Lennon tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Bull is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Lennon is working for a submission of some sort.
Bull is trying to control but can't.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bull regains full guard. Nicely done.
Bull is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Bull is working for a submission of some sort.

Lennon looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Lennon dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Nawty Bull's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Bull throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lennon's waist but Lennon gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bull off to one side.
Lennon lands a high kick!

Lennon clinches up against the cage.
Lennon tries for a takedown but Bull manages to get underhooks.

Bull with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Bull misses with an elbow over the top.
Bull is looking to break free of the clinch but Lennon has double underhooks.
Lennon lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Bull can't break the clinch.
Lennon lands an elbow inside.
Lennon lands an elbow just above Bull 's eye.
Lennon lands an elbow inside that Bull shrugs off.
Lennon scores with a knee to the head.
Bull is trying to break the clinch but Lennon has him pressed against the cage.
Lennon keeps control of Bull as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Bull slows down the pace here.
Bull takes an elbow to the forehead.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Lennon jumps guard but Bull stands there with Lennon around his waist. Lennon gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

A knee to the head by Lennon.
Bull takes an elbow to the forehead.

Bull pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Bull clinches.

Bull breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Lennon moves into the clinch successfully.
Bull is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Lennon pulls him back up using the underhooks.
John Lennon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nawty Bull.
Bull tries to break the clinch but Lennon is controlling the position.

Lennon has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Bull uses from the top position.

Bull throws and elbow that misses. Lennon uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bull's guard. Nice move by Lennon!
Bull can't keep his opponent in guard - Lennon advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Bull has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lennon is working away from the top position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lennon is looking for a kimura here.
Lennon is pressing down on Bull's thigh, looking to free his foot. Bull is holding on for now.
Bull is staying active underneath Lennon, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Bull manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Some bone on bone action there as Lennon checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Lennon shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Lennon was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Lennon moves to back control.
Bull trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.

Bull is trying escape back to his feet. He turns into his opponent's guard and eventually finds his way back to his feet.

Lennon decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Bull is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Lennon has latched onto it... Big trouble! Lennon pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Bull is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Lennon!
