Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gottfried Slivot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyoden Umemoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Umemoto has chosen Dragon God as his entrance music. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kyoden Umemoto!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slivot on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Umemoto can't find room to land a body shot as Slivot controls the action.
Umemoto lands a body punch in the clinch.

Umemoto's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Umemoto is trying to maintain a safe position but Slivot gets an underhook and turns Umemoto into the cage.
Slivot wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Umemoto tries to throw a body punch but Slivot avoids it by throwing Umemoto back against the cage.
Umemoto is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Slivot is trying to break the clinch but Umemoto is controlling him.
A frustrated look appears on Slivot's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Umemoto keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Slivot's efforts to push away.

The referee is keeping an eye on Umemoto - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Umemoto lands a shoulder strike.

Umemoto lands a left hand that snaps the head of Slivot backwards.
Slivot wants to get back to striking at distance but Umemoto won't allow it.

Slivot breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Umemoto counters by moving into the clinch.
Slivot is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Umemoto tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Slivot is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Umemoto misses with a hook to the ribs.
Umemoto is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Umemoto misses with a punch on the inside.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kyoden Umemoto dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Slivot tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Slivot looks to land a body kick but Umemoto moved away.
Slivot walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Umemoto connects with a body shot that sends Slivot's belly button to the back.
Umemoto is looking to slow Slivot down with leg kicks.
Slivot fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Umemoto manages to avoid it.
Slivot throws a sloppy head kick
and Umemoto connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Slivot misses with a low kick as Umemoto jumps back.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Umemoto tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Slivot paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Jab, jab by Umemoto - just one landing.


Slivot is rocked!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
A jab lands there for Umemoto.
Oh Slivot is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Umemoto in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.
Umemoto scores with a sloppy right hand. Slivot should have avoided that one.

Umemoto moves out of range of the body kick.
Kyoden Umemoto seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Umemoto moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Umemoto pounces like a tiger and cracks Slivot with a vicious hook! Slivot is down but not out! Umemoto follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Kyoden Umemoto!
Jumping up and down and very excited, Kyoden Umemoto waved his t-shirt featuring ONI's logo in front of the cameras.
