Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Burak Yavas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Salazar Romello (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Burak Yavas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Salazar Romello!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romello takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Yavas defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Romello.
Romello is trying hard to land a takedown here. Yavas sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Romello gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Yavas has had enough of the clinch but Romello keeps him there for the moment.
Romello wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Romello tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Yavas manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Romello.

Romello gets tackled into the cage by Yavas. Yavas maintains the clinch.

Romello is pulling down on Yavas's head. It's preventing any offense from Yavas, at least for the moment.

Romello is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Romello tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Yavas smiles and moves away.

Romello moves in looking to clinch but Yavas pushes him off.
Yavas is trying hard to land a takedown here. Romello sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Salazar Romello seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round but I would say that Burak Yavas will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Romello moves away from the strike by Yavas.
Romello tries to close the distance and clinch up but Yavas swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Salazar Romello is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Romello.
Romello shoots in looking for a takedown. Yavas tries to sprawl out of it but Romello keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Yavas manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Yavas changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Romello tries to avoid it but Yavas manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Romello to the ground. Romello escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Romello is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Yavas pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Romello wants to get up but he can't break Yavas's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Yavas is trying to control the position but Romello postures up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Yavas moves into range and clinches up with Romello.

Yavas leaves Romello with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Yavas's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Romello shoots for a takedown but Yavas saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Yavas throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Romello tries to close the distance and clinch but Yavas swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Romello shoots in but no luck this time.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Burak Yavas.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Yavas, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
