The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Houge fails in his attempt to clinch.
Houge tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Watson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Watson takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

It looks like CJ Watson has been cut.
Watson misses with a leg kick.
Houge tries to close the distance and clinch but Watson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Watson looks for a takedown but Houge sprawls well.
Watson shoots in looking for a takedown. Houge tries to sprawl out of it but Watson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Houge manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Watson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for CJ Watson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Watson is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Watson walks straight into a right hand from Houge - that's dropped him! Houge jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Watson from any more punishment! Watson complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
