Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mark Kristiansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jones Toron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kristiansen comes to the cage accompanied by Gangsta's Paradise. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Toron blocks a jab.
Toron will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jones Toron hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Toron shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kristiansen pinned against the cage. Kristiansen gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Toron fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kristiansen sprawls well initially but Toron persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

It looks like Toron might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Jones Toron has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Kristiansen misses with a looping left.
Kristiansen darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Toron slips a straight right by Kristiansen.
Toron tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kristiansen sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Toron somewhat.
Mark Kristiansen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jones Toron.

Toron shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kristiansen is trying to defend but Toron finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Kristiansen ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Toron moves away.

Toron closes the distance and clinches up with Kristiansen, looking for a takedown. Toron pushes Kristiansen against the cage but Kristiansen circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Kristiansen drops back, looking for a kneebar! Toron looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Toron looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Toron!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Mark Kristiansen.

Kristiansen throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Toron throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kristiansen's waist but Kristiansen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Toron off to one side.

Toron shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kristiansen manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Jones Toron is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Toron is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
