PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sanford Walsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alekcey Susaev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alekcey Susaev told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alekcey Susaev!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Eddie Farnsworth and Chad Campbell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Susaev shoots in and bounces Walsh off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Walsh looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Susaev has picked Walsh up and slammed him! Walsh can't keep hold of the triangle and Susaev manages to pass to side control!
Walsh is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Susaev off and has taken his back!
Susaev tries to roll but Walsh sticks to his back.

Walsh has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Susaev has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Susaev is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Walsh lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.
I would not like to be Susaev right now.
