Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gustavo Adkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Willie Steamin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Willie Steamin will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Gustavo Adkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Willie Steamin!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Kenichi Hosakawa and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steamin shoots and misses
and Adkins counters with a series of strikes. Steamin will be more careful next time no doubt.

Steamin shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Adkins's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Adkins might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Let's hope that Steamin has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Willie Steamin wasn't active enough on the ground.

Adkins is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Steamin is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Steamin has escaped and now he's on top!

Steamin closes the distance and clinches up with Adkins, looking for a takedown. Steamin pushes Adkins against the cage but Adkins circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Adkins is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Steamin is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Steamin has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Adkins is working away from the top position though.
Steamin tries to roll over but Adkins keeps him under control.
Adkins throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Adkins misses with a head shot. Steamin uses the momentum to regain guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Adkins got a little sloppy there for a moment and Steamin has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Adkins has managed to get both his arms back between Steamin's legs - danger averted.
