Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Carlito Rotolo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vitor Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vitor Silva will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Chad Campbell and John Kavanagh.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rotolo closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Silva to the mat! Silva manages to get full guard.
Rotolo wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving.
Silva looking for a sweep. Not yet Silva, not yet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Rotolo connects with a nice short shot to Silva's temple.

Rotolo is pressing down on Silva's thigh, looking to free his foot. Silva is holding on for now.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Rotolo wants to take a breather but Silva is having none of it.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Silva feints and then cracks Rotolo's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Rotolo down.

Silva shoots in and gets a takedown into Rotolo's guard.
Rotolo seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
We've been informed that Silva has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Vitor Silva has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Rotolo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Silva tries to avoid it but Rotolo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Silva to the ground. Silva escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
A solid leg kick lands there for Silva.
Silva tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

That kick from Silva tenderised Rotolo's leg. Rotolo is trying to keep his angry face on.
Rotolo shoots in for a takedown but Silva shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carlito Rotolo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Silva turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Silva fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Silva fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Rotolo to the ground. Silva is now in Rotolo's guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
A slapping body kick lands there for Silva.

Silva throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Silva pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Nice uppercut lands for Silva. That snapped Rotolo's head back.
A nice inside leg kick there by Silva. That's going to slow Rotolo down.

Silva gets caught flat footed, as Rotolo shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Rotolo is pushing down on Silva's leg trying to pass to half guard. Silva is fighting to maintain full guard but Rotolo has managed to sneak the leg through.
Silva wants to control but Rotolo is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Rotolo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Rotolo sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close second round but I would say that Carlito Rotolo will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Rotolo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Silva sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rotolo somewhat.

Rotolo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Silva swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Rotolo is looking to pass into half guard but Silva pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Silva is in guard.

Rotolo postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Silva is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Rotolo, into his guard.

Rotolo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Silva swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Rotolo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Silva's waist but Silva gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rotolo off to one side.
Silva throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Rotolo takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rotolo, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
