Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jakke Ruutu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juji Gatame (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ruutu comes to the cage accompanied by 50 Cent - I'm Supposed to Die Tonight. Gatame has chosen Storm as his entrance music. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gatame throws a good cross that connects.
Gatame stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Ruutu misses with a lunging right hand

and Gatame counters with a nice double leg into side control. Ruutu won't be happy with that.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Gatame gets to mount! Ruutu was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Ruutu is in all sorts of trouble here.
Ruutu definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Ruutu throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Gatame escapes and throws Ruutu's legs to the side, diving into side control!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Gatame controls the position.
Ruutu is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ruutu is looking to improve his position but Gatame isn't that keen on the idea.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Gatame cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Ruutu is rocked!
Gatame loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Ruutu scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Gatame land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Gatame stands and salutes the crowd.

During a confident post fight interview, Juji Gatame thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
