Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alain Proviste!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Unit Five!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Ian Loll and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Five tries to close the distance and clinch up but Proviste swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Proviste pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Proviste darts in looking for a takedown but Five gets double underhooks and turns Proviste into the cage.
Proviste manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Five cracks Proviste with a solid left hand.
Proviste is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Five really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Proviste. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Proviste holds on and takes a little breather.
Proviste could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Five controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Five has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Proviste is proving hard to escape from.

Five trying to control the position from guard on top but Proviste is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Five wants to stand but Proviste is controlling his posture from full guard.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Unit Five hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Five drives through with a takedown into guard.
Proviste wriggles free and stands up.
Five rushes Proviste and presses him up against the cage.
Five manages to break the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Proviste tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Five paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Proviste throws a left and a right that both miss
and Five counters with a left and a right that stings Proviste.
Five fails with a takedown attempt.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Five shoots in and bounces Proviste off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Proviste looking for a triangle here. Five is fighting it but it looks tight! Proviste pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Five is tapping out - this one is all over!
