Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Harry Davies!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 22 - 0, fighting out of London, Joshua Davison!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Donald Grub and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Davies shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Davies was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Davison is trying to buck Davies off.
Davison tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Davison trying desperately to get to his feet.
Davies with shots to the head and body - Davison looks very uncomfortable down there.
Davies looking to control but Davison is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
You get the feeling that Davison really doesn't like being in this position too much.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Davies tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Davison slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Davies wants to control but Davison is keeping him busy.
Davies is nestled in close to Davison, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Davison has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Davies escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Davies!
Davies creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Davison sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
A lull in the action here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Davison wants to get back to his feet but Davies drags him back down.

Davies decides to stand back up.
A punch lands to the side of Davies 's head but he takes it in his stride.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Davies closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Davison to the mat! Davison manages to get full guard.

Davison is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Davison turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Davies is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Davison thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
You can see the frustration on Davies's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Davies tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Davies can't do much from the bottom here.

Davison tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Davison has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Davies is looking to reverse the position.

Davison is trying to get an arm triangle but Davies is defending well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Davies is trying to get back to his feet.
Davies can't do much from the bottom here.
Davies is trying to get back to half guard.

Davison is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Davies has escaped the position, nice work there.
Davies gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Davies wants to control but Davison is keeping busy.
Davies is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at The Seven Sins Grappling Academy that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

Davison is working for a submission of some sort.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Harry Davies dominated that round.
That's time! Davies's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Davies fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Davison waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Davies.
Davison bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Davies's head backwards.
A jab from Davison finds it's way through Davies's defenses.
Davison misses with a double jab.
Davison throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Davies counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Davison is defending against the submission attempts here by Davies.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Davies has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Davison defend it? Davies steps over the head and cranks it - Davison is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Davies!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Harry Davies!
