Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Landon Barca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bryan Danielson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barca comes to the cage accompanied by AC/DC - Highway To Hell. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Topper Green and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barca lands with a kick to the temple. Danielson shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Barca escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Danielson has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Danielson shoots in for a takedown but Barca shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Danielson shoots in looking for a takedown. Barca tries to sprawl out of it but Danielson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Barca manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Danielson is nestled in close to Barca, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Danielson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Barca has managed to free his arm - good work.
Danielson is trying to control the action in half guard but Barca is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Danielson wants to free his trapped foot but Barca is holding on for dear life with his legs.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Barca is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Landon Barca will probably get the nod.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Barca's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Danielson cracks Barca with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
