Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wilbert Vinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vinson misses with a series of wild punches.
Horrible takedown attempt by Jones or perhaps it was just good defense by Vinson, which made it look bad.
Jones will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Jones swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

and Vinson counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Jones throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Vinson pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Jones tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Vinson defends well and Jones ends up having to push Vinson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Jones changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Vinson fights it off and pushes away nicely.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Vinson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jones is defended easily by Vinson.
Vinson throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Vinson here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones trying to control but Vinson flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
Jones is breathing heavily.
Vinson connects with a big shot to the side of Jones's head.
Jones looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

Vinson has good solid back control here.
Jones should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Vinson scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Jones is looking for a way out.

Jones wants to get back to his feet.
Jones wants to control his opponent's hands but Vinson gets his hands free.
Vinson has Jones flattened out and is raining down punches.
Vinson controlling the position well here. Jones rolled but Vinson kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
I really don't envy Jones right now.
Jones is covering up but some of the strikes from Vinson are getting through and doing damage.

Jones is trying to remain composed but Vinson is hammering down strikes to the side of his head.
Vinson slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Jones is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Vinson.
