Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jorge Sutton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Gamaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jorge Sutton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ivan Gamaz!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Alexandre Firmino and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gamaz feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Sutton really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Sutton wants to sweep but no luck.
Sutton controls Gamaz momentarily but Gamaz frees himself.
Sutton will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Sutton scores with a short punch from the bottom.
Sutton throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

Gamaz drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Sutton dives on top into guard.

Gamaz had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sutton defends it easily.

Gamaz is looking for a triangle here but Sutton uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Gamaz is trying to escape the position but Sutton is controlling the position.
Gamaz is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Sutton's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Sutton looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Gamaz actively working from the bottom here.
Sutton perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Sutton seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Gamaz looking for submissions off his back.
Sutton is controlling the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jorge Sutton.
Gamaz shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Sutton counters with a three punch combo that has Gamaz backing up. Gamaz nods at Sutton to acknowledge the strikes.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Sutton seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That's time! Sutton's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Sutton shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Gamaz defends it nicely.

and Sutton counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Gamaz!
Gamaz tries to bench press Sutton off him but Sutton keeps the position.
Sutton gets to mount! Gamaz was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Sutton wants to get back to his feet but Gamaz is holding on tight.
Gamaz is wriggling around trying to escape.

Sutton is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent.
Gamaz is in all sorts of trouble here.
Sutton trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Sutton lands a big shot there that rocks Gamaz but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Sutton is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Gamaz misses with a takedown attempt

and Sutton counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Gamaz's guard now.

Gamaz looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Sutton passes into half guard.
Gamaz is breathing heavily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Gamaz is looking for a sweep. Sutton is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Gamaz looking for subs from the bottom but Sutton mounts him!

Sutton is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent.
Sutton controlling his opponent.
Gamaz is looking to improve his position but Sutton isn't that keen on the idea.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Sutton tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Gamaz can't escape the position.
Jorge Sutton overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Sutton controlling from the full mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jorge Sutton dominated that second round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Sutton tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gamaz swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Sutton is looking to clinch.
Sutton moves in looking to clinch but Gamaz pushes him off.
Sutton dives in and grabs Gamaz's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gamaz pushes down on Sutton's head and hops out.
Gamaz swats away the attempt to clinch by Sutton.
Sutton tries to clinch up but Gamaz circles away and keeps his distance.
Sutton's jab looks to have found its range, popping Gamaz under the eye.
Gamaz doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Sutton counters with a shoot takedown. Gamaz fights it but they end up in guard.

Sutton controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
