The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mills goes for a double leg but Boyd avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Boyd continues to drive forward.
Boyd should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Mills's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Mills tries to lock up and control but Boyd gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Boyd takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Boyd closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Alex Boyd showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

We're going to have a standup here because Herman Mills wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Boyd will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Boyd scores with a sloppy right hand. Mills should have avoided that one.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Boyd. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

I would just about give that final round to Alex Boyd.
Well Boyd has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
