The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Friedrich shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bullock's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Bullock pulls Friedrich in to control the position.
Bullock is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Friedrich is controlling him.
Bullock throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Bullock is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Friedrich is aware though and is defending well.
Friedrich controls from within his opponent's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Friedrich tries to free his leg and advance position but Bullock is retaining full guard.
Friedrich passes Bullock's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Friedrich maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Bullock could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Friedrich has cracked it and Bullock is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Friedrich!
