Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mitchell Webster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mohammed Mohammed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mitchell Webster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mohammed Mohammed!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Dmitry Maklakov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mohammed tries for a takedown but Webster sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Webster gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Mohammed to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Mohammed postures up.
Mohammed engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Mohammed must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Mohammed trying to control but Webster is working from the bottom.
Webster is pulling down on Mohammed's head. It's preventing any offense from Mohammed, at least for the moment.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Mohammed clinches.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Webster has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Mohammed after a bit of a struggle.
Webster tries to pull guard but Mohammed forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Mohammed breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Mohammed closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Mohammed lands in his opponent's guard.

Mohammed drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mohammed jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Webster seems keen to control Mohammed's posture.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Mohammed Mohammed.
Mohammed has his takedown stuffed

and Webster moves into the clinch.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Webster.

Mohammed with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Mohammed manages to pull guard.
Mohammed is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Mohammed wants to stand and escape but Webster is having none of it.
Mohammed is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Webster accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Webster trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Mohammed throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Webster escapes and throws Mohammed's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Webster wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mohammed keeps working.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Webster controlling the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mohammed can do anything to dispel that myth.
An elbow from Webster crashes against the mat.
Mohammed is looking to reverse the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Webster goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Mohammed has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Webster but great work by Mohammed.
Webster tries to improve position but can't.
Mohammed works to advance to full mount. Webster defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mohammed Mohammed dominated that round.
That's time! Webster's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Webster instigates a clinch.
Webster is trying to break the clinch but Mohammed has him pressed against the cage.

Webster escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Mohammed misses with an attempted mid kick.

Mohammed clinches up against the cage.

Mohammed gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Webster is trying to maintain the position but Mohammed is very close to passing his half guard.
Webster is not content to let Mohammed control the position.
Webster keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Mohammed wants to work for an arm triangle but Webster is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Mohammed working over Webster with some ground and pound. Webster looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Webster tries to roll over but Mohammed keeps him under control.
Mohammed tries to stand and escape but Webster is controlling the position.
Webster wants to control but Mohammed is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Webster is looking to control Mohammed's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Webster avoid being mounted?
Mohammed throws a strike but Webster avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Webster is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Mohammed tries to free his leg and advance position but Webster is retaining full guard.
Mohammed is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Mohammed instigates a clinch.
Webster has Mohammed pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Mohammed manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Webster wants a takedown.

Mohammed breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Mohammed fails with a takedown attempt.

Webster feints and as Mohammed raises his hands in defense, Webster changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Webster postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Webster working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Mohammed's head.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Mohammed is on top in guard.
Webster not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Mohammed throws a big right hand that misses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Webster is trying to control the position but Mohammed postures up.
Mohammed looking to sit in guard and control but Webster gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Mohammed is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Webster is controlling him.
Mohammed is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Webster is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mohammed Mohammed showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!


Mohammed fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Webster avoids it really well and circles away.
Mohammed avoids the head kick by Webster.
Mohammed throws a head kick but Webster moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Webster tries to clinch up.
Webster tries to clinch but Mohammed is having none of it.
Mohammed misses with the combination.

Webster clinches with his opponent.
Mohammed throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Webster blocks it with crossed arms.

Mohammed manages to break the clinch.
Mohammed misses with a body kick.
No luck for Webster with that takedown attempt.
Mohammed tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Webster paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Mohammed shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Webster as he jumps to the side.
Horrible takedown attempt by Webster or perhaps it was just good defense by Mohammed, which made it look bad.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Nice takedown defense from Mohammed. No joy for Webster on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mitchell Webster. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mohammed misses the body punch
and Webster counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Webster tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mohammed swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Mohammed shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Mohammed's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Webster really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Mohammed wants to control from the top but Webster keeps moving.
Mohammed takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mohammed is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Webster trying to keep a closed guard but Mohammed is proving a slippery customer.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Mohammed Mohammed hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Webster misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Mohammed shoots for a takedown but Webster saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Mohammed shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Webster as he jumps to the side.
Webster pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Webster tries to close the distance and clinch but Mohammed swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Webster tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Mohammed manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Mohammed moves into the clinch.
Webster is looking to take this one to the mat.
Webster fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Webster ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Webster no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Mohammed content to stall in guard here.
Mohammed stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Webster swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Mitchell Webster has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Mohammed Mohammed is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Mohammed slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Mohammed Mohammed comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Mohammed has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
