The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Brady pushes Jacobson away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Jacobson gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jacobson slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Jacobson is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Brady has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Jacobson lands a good shot there. Brady covers up! Jacobson smells blood and goes for the finish - the referee warns Brady to improve his position but he's not intelligently defending himself and the referee has no choice but to step in and end the fight! Jacobson jumps to his feet and celebrates the important win with his cornermen!
