With a record of 17 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Razor Maya!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Monterrey!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maya pivots, looking for a leg kick but Monterrey is out of range and Maya settles back down.
Monterrey throws a body kick despite being completely out of range

and Maya decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Monterrey's guard.
Monterrey has control of Maya's left arm, preventing Maya from doing any damage.
Maya trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Monterrey is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Maya drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Maya jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Maya lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
