The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Acton looking to score a takedown here. EsHari is defending well but Acton drives through and ends up in EsHari's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Acton connects with a couple of short punches.
Acton throws a strike but EsHari rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
EsHari throwing strikes from guard but Acton blocks nicely.
EsHari is looking to work some ground and pound but Acton has wrist control.
EsHari stands and throws Acton's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Acton is looking for a sweep.
EsHari content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

EsHari has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Acton!
Acton is desperately trying to improve his position but EsHari has a good base and remains in mount.

EsHari avoids the attempt from Acton to control.
Acton is wriggling around trying to escape.
EsHari trying to control but Acton is having none of it.
EsHari throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Acton keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Acton is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
EsHari has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
EsHari looking to control but Acton is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Acton can do anything to dispel that myth.
EsHari thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
EsHari wants to control the pace but Acton is squirming around nicely.

Acton tries to control EsHari's body but EsHari pushes him off. Acton squirms to his side and now EsHari has his back!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Acton wants to escape the position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Acton rolls, trying to escape but EsHari keeps control of the position.

EsHari is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Acton with him. Acton is trying to defend but EsHari has an arm under the chin now! Acton grimaces and is forced to tap out!
