Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gino Colon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DJ Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Franklyn Lucas and David Schapiro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Colon moves in looking to clinch but Steel pushes him off.

Colon drives through and clinches with Steel against the cage.

Steel breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Steel closes the distance and clinches up with Colon, looking for a takedown. Steel pushes Colon against the cage but Colon circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Colon tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Steel defends well and Colon ends up having to push Steel into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Colon has Steel pressed against the cage, preventing Steel from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Steel tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Colon smiles and moves away.

Steel decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Steel not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Colon is looking to control Steel's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Colon avoid being mounted?
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Steel in particular looking to stall.
Colon is pressing down on Steel's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Colon looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Steel is defending well. Colon quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Steel has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Colon celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
