Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mikhail Efremov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frankie Silversteen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mikhail Efremov could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Frankie Silversteen's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Frankie Silversteen!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Saam Ante and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silversteen shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Silversteen passes Efremov's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Efremov makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Efremov.

Silversteen sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Efremov's guard.

Silversteen is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Efremov sees it coming and defends easily.
Efremov is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Efremov manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Silversteen manages to get himself to full guard.

Efremov seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Silversteen wants to control but Efremov is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Efremov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Silversteen keeps working.

Silversteen is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Silversteen is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Silversteen is looking for a kimura but Efremov is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Silversteen to get the leverage.

Silversteen looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Efremov with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

A less than humble Frankie Silversteen misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
