The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Siegel lands with a slapping head kick.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Steel takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Jan Steel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fight stays on the outside here - Siegel looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
