PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Archie Burks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Felipe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Felipe has chosen Ain't no sunshine as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Anderson Felipe was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Archie Burks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Anderson Felipe !
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Roosa Järviläinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Felipe throws a left and a right that both miss
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Felipe blocks a low kick nicely.
Felipe takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Burks tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Felipe shoots in looking for a takedown but Burks manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Felipe 's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Felipe leaves Burks with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Felipe goes for a double leg but Burks avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Burks continues to drive forward.
Burks blocks an elbow strike.
A short left from Felipe .

Felipe pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Felipe drives through with a takedown into Burks's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Burks trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Felipe is standing up over Burks. Burks looks to escape but Felipe dives into side control.
Felipe working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Burks knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Felipe on the ground.
Felipe cracks Burks with a big right hand but Burks just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Felipe in side control lands a decent elbow.
Burks on the wrong end of some ground and pound.

Burks is rocked!

Oh Burks is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Felipe in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Burks looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Felipe turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!

Anderson Felipe looked relieved post fight as he said the following; 'Yeahh that's what am talking about I told am gonna kick ass and that's what I have done. Very soon sponsors and contracts will be right at my door step'.
