And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peters shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hofstadter defends it nicely.
Hofstadter is looking to clinch.
Peters has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Hofstadter finds it's way round the side to connect with Peters's head.

It looks like Cyrus Peters has been cut.
Hofstadter doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Peters decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hofstadter's guard.
Peters loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Hofstadter trying to control the position here.
Hofstadter wants to get back to his feet but Peters is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Peters with a flurry of punches that miss.
Hofstadter avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Hofstadter trying to keep a closed guard but Peters is proving a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hofstadter bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Peters's guard.
Hofstadter stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Peters swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Peters looking for a sweep. Not yet Peters, not yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Peters keeping moving, preventing Hofstadter from controlling successfully.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Leonard Hofstadter hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Hofstadter is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Hofstadter lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Peters is rocked!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Hofstadter.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hofstadter dives in for a single leg takedown but Peters sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Cyrus Peters has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leonard Hofstadter.

Peters jumps guard and drags Hofstadter to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Hofstadter prevents Peters from getting back to his feet.

Hofstadter throws a big right hand that misses.
Hofstadter is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Hofstadter's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Leonard Hofstadter.
Peters looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hofstadter is fending him off so far but Peters persists. Nope, Hofstadter circles away and we're back to standing.

Hofstadter tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Hofstadter pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Hofstadter lands a brutal head kick. Peters looks out on his feet and Hofstadter throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
