Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Sparrow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Squirrel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Squirrel is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Bio Crisis - Delirio. Jack Sparrow looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Squirrel shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Sparrow as he avoids it easily.
Squirrel misses with a takedown
and Sparrow counters with a three punch combo that has Squirrel backing up. Squirrel nods at Sparrow to acknowledge the strikes.
Sparrow gets caught flat footed, as Squirrel shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

My spies in HILITE Fighting Club inform me that Squirrel has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Squirrel is looking to work some ground and pound but Sparrow has wrist control.

Squirrel is working Sparrow over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Squirrel sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Sparrow's guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Oooh a big shot lands for Squirrel! Sparrow is out! The ref dives in to save him from more punishment!
