Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tyson Pearson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Killin Spight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Killin Spight!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Elvis Blanc and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spight catches Pearson with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Pearson shoots in and gets a takedown into Spight's guard.
We've been hearing good reports from Pearson's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Pearson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Spight gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Pearson has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Spight is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Pearson.
Spight remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Spight screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
