The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Distacio Jr misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Distacio Jr closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Maija turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Distacio Jr is looking to reverse the position.
Maija wants to lay and pray for a moment but Distacio Jr keeps working.

Maija is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Maija extends the arm and Distacio Jr is forced to tap!
