Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Abdullah Al Abulbul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonatan Jose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Abdullah Al Abulbul!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jonatan Jose!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yukihiro Shimada and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jose attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
A slow jab from Jose misses its intended target.
Good standup being displayed there by Jose as he connects with a hook.

Al Abulbul shoots in and gets a takedown into Jose's guard.

The fighters are battling for position here. Jose manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Jose is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Al Abulbul escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jose gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Jose must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Jose makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Jose pushes down on Al Abulbul's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Jose looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jose is keen to just control but Al Abulbul is a slippery customer.
Al Abulbul is trying to get back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Al Abulbul swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Al Abulbul shoots in for a double leg but Jose sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Al Abulbul moves out of range as Jose strikes.

Jose gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Jose tightens his grip and picks Al Abulbul up, before dumping him to the ground. Al Abulbul manages to land in guard.

My spies in Ironfist Athletics inform me that Jose has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Al Abulbul tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jonatan Jose wasn't active enough on the ground.

Al Abulbul gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jose to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Jose working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Jose postures up in Al Abulbul's guard and throws a big left but Al Abulbul blocks it.
Al Abulbul seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Jose postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Al Abulbul is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jose makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Al Abulbul utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Jose content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.


Al Abulbul is rocked!
Jose chips away with some ground and pound.
Oh Al Abulbul is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jonatan Jose has got the better of the ground game so far.
Jose loads up on a big left hand. Al Abulbul felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Jose looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Al Abulbul can't hide his disappointment, as Jose celebrates the victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jonatan Jose!
After winning the bout, Jonatan Jose thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
In defeat, Abdullah Al Abulbul stepped up to the mic, saying 'No worries. I'm sure this fight will eventually be ruled a 'no-contest' given how my opponent here has a habit of pissing positive for steroids.'.
