The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Stein cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Kawajiri wants to hold on but Stein pushes him away.

Stein is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kawajiri is just riding it out for now. Stein eventually gives up the hold.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Stein seems to be working for a kimura but Kawajiri defends the submission attempt.

We've been hearing good reports from Stein's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
