PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Musta Laine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wade Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anderson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. "Not Falling" by Mudvayne kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

With a record of 3 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Wade Anderson!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laine keeps the fight on the outside.
Anderson with a lazy takedown attempt

and Laine decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Anderson's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Laine will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Anderson up against the cage.

Laine changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Anderson fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Wade Anderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Laine counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Anderson's guard now.
Musta Laine has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wade Anderson.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Laine accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Anderson manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Laine takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Musta Laine.
