Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aloysius Martin Thesz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabriel Halo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Halo is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: I am a Nightmare Walking. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Aloysius Martin Thesz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gabriel Halo!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Halo moves into the clinch.

Halo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Halo misses with an uppercut. Thesz saw that one coming.
Thesz lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Halo circles away quickly and effectively.
Halo avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Thesz lands with a kick to the temple. Halo shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Thesz looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Halo throws out a loose jab but Thesz uses good head movement to avoid it.
Thesz misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Halo stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Halo wants it to stay on the feet.
Halo throws a right hand that misses

so Thesz counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Halo keeping moving, preventing Thesz from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Halo wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Halo throws a jab but it's blocked by Thesz.

Thesz tries to land a front kick but Halo steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Thesz throws out a loose jab but Halo uses good head movement to avoid it.
Thesz tries to bum rush Halo with a series of wild strikes but Halo uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Halo throws a leg kick but Thesz sees it coming and moves out of range.
Gabriel Halo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Thesz throws a series of punches but Halo avoids them all with ease.

Thesz uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Thesz counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Thesz.

Thesz works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Thesz trying to control the action but Halo is working from the bottom.
Thesz not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Thesz is nestled in close to Halo, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

A relieved looking Gabriel Halo thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
