Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between David Ruaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mr Universe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for David Ruaz has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Ruaz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mr Universe!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and Wesley Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruaz throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Universe leaves Ruaz with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Ruaz closes the distance and clinches up with Universe, looking for a takedown. Ruaz pushes Universe against the cage but Universe circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Ruaz rushes Universe and presses him up against the cage.
Ruaz is working for takedown but Universe is calmly controlling the position for now.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Ruaz. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Universe lands an elbow that stopped Ruaz in his tracks for a moment.

It looks like David Ruaz has been cut.
Universe comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Universe lands an elbow inside that Ruaz shrugs off.
Ruaz jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Universe walks away with a smile on his face. Ruaz gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Universe forces Ruaz back against the cage and clinches.
Ruaz blocks the elbow strike.
Universe keeps control of Ruaz as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Ruaz takes an elbow to the forehead.

David Ruaz's cut is getting worse.
Universe lands an elbow that stopped Ruaz in his tracks for a moment.

David Ruaz's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Universe has Ruaz pressed against the cage. He pushes Ruaz back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Universe throws a beautiful elbow that sends Ruaz crashing to the floor! Universe piles on the pressure with more strikes! Ruaz is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!
