Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Herb Frederick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Shank (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shank is looking to clinch but Frederick is avoiding it.
Frederick throws a body punch but Shank moves out of range.

Frederick pushes Shank up against the cage in a clinch.

Frederick's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Shank tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Frederick paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Frederick closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Frederick seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Frederick is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Shank is just riding it out for now. Frederick eventually gives up the hold.

Frederick is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Shank defends it well.

Frederick moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Frederick is trying to trip Shank. He has hold of a leg but Shank is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Frederick persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Frederick is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Frederick gets control of Shank's arms and successfully pulls guard. Frederick will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Shank would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Shank must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
