Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Damon Macready (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Veli Schwarzeneg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Macready comes to the cage accompanied by Born to be Wild. Veli Schwarzeneg is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Macready fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Schwarzeneg, pushing him back against the cage.

It looks like Veli Schwarzeneg has been cut.
Macready lands an uppercut.
Schwarzeneg drops down looking for an ankle pick but Macready pulls his leg out and moves away.
Macready throws a sloppy head kick and Schwarzeneg moves out of range easily.
Horrible takedown attempt by Schwarzeneg or perhaps it was just good defense by Macready, which made it look bad.
Schwarzeneg shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Damon Macready has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Veli Schwarzeneg.

Macready pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Macready lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Schwarzeneg gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Macready regains guard.
Macready wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Macready lands a right hand that snaps the head of Schwarzeneg backwards.

Macready has Schwarzeneg pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Macready pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Schwarzeneg tumbling to the mat - Macready dives into Schwarzeneg's guard.
Macready wants to pass the guard but Schwarzeneg is keeping the position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Macready connects with a nice cross there... Schwarzeneg is looking wobbly and Macready recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Schwarzeneg to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Macready jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
