Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Reggie Slaughter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dylan Mills (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reggie Slaughter could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Dylan Mills's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Reggie Slaughter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dylan Mills!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mills lands a nice hook to Slaughter's body. Slaughter takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Mills fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Slaughter, pushing him back against the cage.
Mills changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Slaughter fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Slaughter closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Mills to the mat! Mills manages to get full guard.
Slaughter wants to stand and escape but instead Mills has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Mills is looking to pass into half guard but Slaughter pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Slaughter is in guard.
Slaughter wants to get up but he can't break Mills's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Slaughter trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Mills holds on and takes a little breather.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Slaughter misses with a wild combination.

Mills looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Slaughter!
Mills moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Slaughter stops Mills from passing to mount.

Slaughter wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Slaughter takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mills wants to lay and pray for a moment but Slaughter keeps working.
Mills creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Slaughter sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
The strikes coming from Mills are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Slaughter is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Mills has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Slaughter can't do much from the bottom here.
Mills taking a break here but Slaughter is having none of it and regains half guard.
Mills wants to pass to mount but Slaughter is defending the position.
Slaughter is trying to stand up here but Mills is controlling him well.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Mills is keen to just control but Slaughter is a slippery customer.

Mills is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Slaughter is just riding it out for now. Mills eventually gives up the hold.
Slaughter is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Mills's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Mills's back!

Slaughter is looking to stand but he's in a difficult position to do so.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Slaughter controlling well, preventing Mills from escaping the position.
Slaughter controls the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Slaughter is looking to get the fight back to the feet.

Slaughter gets back to his feet from a dominant position... quite strange.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Dylan Mills will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Mills throws a head kick that Slaughter semi-blocks.

Slaughter gets caught flat footed, as Mills shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Mills postures up.
Mills stops Slaughter from standing up.
Slaughter is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Slaughter wants to stand but Mills is controlling the position.
Slaughter is trying to control the position from the bottom.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Reggie Slaughter just wasn't active enough.
Slaughter misses with a wild combination.

Slaughter has closed the distance and engaged Mills in a clinch.
Slaughter goes for a takedown in the clinch but Mills prevents it.
A frustrated look appears on Slaughter's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Slaughter prevents the takedown attempt.
Mills is working for takedown but Slaughter is calmly controlling the position for now.
Mills wants a takedown but no success here.
Reggie Slaughter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dylan Mills.

Mills jumps guard.
Mills wants to sweep here but Slaughter controlling him for the moment.
Slaughter would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Slaughter has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Mills is proving hard to escape from.

Slaughter tries to keep at a distance but Mills has taken the fight into the clinch.

Mills wants a takedown.

Slaughter wants to break free but Mills has control.
Slaughter has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Mills is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Mills lands a knee to the body.
Mills wants to take the fight to the mat but Slaughter manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Mills jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Slaughter walks away with a smile on his face. Mills gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Slaughter prevents the takedown attempt.
Slaughter wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Mills stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Slaughter struggles to land a body shot inside as Mills controls his hands.
Mills lands a good knee to the midsection. Slaughter won't want to take too many of those.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Slaughter has Mills pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Mills manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Slaughter's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Mills pulls guard effortlessly.
Slaughter stops Mills from standing up.
Slaughter preventing the sweep.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Mills is on top in guard.
Mills stops Slaughter from standing up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Dylan Mills showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Mills throws a left and a right that both miss
and Slaughter counters with a one-two to the body.
Mills fails with a takedown attempt.
Mills tries to clinch but Slaughter moves out of range.
Slaughter shoots for a takedown but Mills saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Mills doesn't manage to clinch there - Slaughter circles away.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Mills.
Mills tries to clinch up but Slaughter circles away and keeps his distance.
Mills shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Slaughter as he jumps to the side.
Reggie Slaughter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dylan Mills.
Mills is looking to clinch but Slaughter is avoiding it.

Mills rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Slaughter counters with a two punch combo.
Mills throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Slaughter's head.
Mills swings for the body but Slaughter moves out of range.
Mills tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Slaughter misses with a jab, cross combination.
Slaughter dives in and grabs Mills's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mills pushes down on Slaughter's head and hops out.
Slaughter on the wrong end of a kick to the body.

Mills closes the distance and pushes Slaughter back into the cage.
Slaughter swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Mills has Slaughter pressed against the cage, preventing Slaughter from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
With the fighters up against the cage, Mills throws an elbow but misses.
Mills using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mills tries to pull guard but Slaughter holds him up against the cage and eventually Mills drops back down to his feet.
Slaughter lands with a left to the head.

Slaughter swings wildly with an uppercut but Mills uses good head movement to avoid it.

Mills is trying to trip Slaughter. He has hold of a leg but Slaughter is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Mills persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Mills pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Slaughter is keeping the position for now.

Slaughter has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Mills off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Mills pushes Slaughter up against the cage in a clinch.

Dylan Mills has got the better of the ground game so far.

Slaughter tries to stand but Mills is controlling from the bottom.
Mills is pulling down on Slaughter's head. It's preventing any offense from Slaughter, at least for the moment.
Slaughter wants to stand but Mills has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Mills looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Dylan Mills wasn't active enough on the ground.

Mills moves into range and clinches up with Slaughter.
Dylan Mills is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Slaughter is working for takedown but Mills is calmly controlling the position for now.

Slaughter tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Mills blocks a punch to the side of the head.

I would just about give that final round to Dylan Mills.
Well Mills has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
