Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dylan Peterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Feliz Pandango (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dylan Peterson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Feliz Pandango!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Jeff Smith and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pandango moves into the clinch.

Pandango jumps guard and drags Peterson to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Peterson content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Peterson trying to control but Pandango is working from the bottom.
Peterson is looking to stand up but Pandango won't let him.
Peterson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Peterson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pandango has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Peterson has managed to get both his arms back between Pandango's legs - danger averted.

Pandango had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Peterson defends it easily.

Pandango stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Peterson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Pandango closes the distance and clinches.
Peterson tries to land knees in the clinch but Pandango avoids the damage to the body.
The referee is keeping an eye on Pandango - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Pandango's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Peterson takes a head kick and keeps coming.


It looks like Dylan Peterson has been cut.

Peterson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Peterson wants to stand up but Pandango is controlling him.
Pandango stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Peterson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Peterson pulls Pandango in close to his closed guard and prevents Pandango from doing any damage or advancing position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Pandango gets in close and instigates a clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Pandango has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Peterson is trying to keep an underhook but Pandango manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Pandango is looking for a kimura but Peterson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Pandango to get the leverage.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
It looks like Pandango might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Peterson wants to improve his position but Pandango is controlling well.

Peterson fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Pandango tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Peterson was well out of range. Poor timing from Pandango.

Pandango shoots in and bounces Peterson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Pandango. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Feliz Pandango comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Pandango has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
