And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Zene Zamora!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mahlenski with a lazy takedown attempt
and Zamora counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Mahlenski shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Zamora defends it nicely.
Mahlenski misses with a takedown attempt
and Zamora counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pesho Mahlenski. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mahlenski tries to move into range but Zamora moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Zamora is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Mahlenski asserts his dominance and retains side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Zamora is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Mahlenski is controlling him well.
Zamora really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mahlenski. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Mahlenski has hold of Zamora's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Zamora tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Mahlenski cranks the arm and Zamora screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Zamora, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
