Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kris Kross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sven Hansson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kross comes to the cage accompanied by Everyday Normal Guy. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Russell Pearce and Chad Campbell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kross has a takedown stuffed.
Hansson thuds a left hand into Kross's body.
Hansson throws a body shot but no joy.
Kross tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hansson swivels and escapes.

Hansson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Kross looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hansson is fending him off so far but Kross persists. Nope, Hansson circles away and we're back to standing.

Kross takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hansson can do anything to dispel that myth.

Hansson leaves Kross with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Kross shoots for a double leg takedown but Hansson sprawls well. He's pushed Kross's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Hansson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kross. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kross is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Hansson can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
